Kaisei is a digital studio for founders, teams, and service businesses that care about the quality of the thing they put into the world.
Named for clear weather
"快晴" — kaisei — is the Japanese word for a clear, cloudless sky. We named the studio for it because that's what we want a website to feel like to run: nothing hidden, nothing overbuilt, nothing you have to brace for.
We keep projects small on purpose. Every client works directly with the people building their site — no account layers, no handoffs. It's why companies tend to stay with us long after launch, for the maintenance work most agencies would rather not do.
Kaisei (改善, kaizen — "continuous improvement") also stands for deliberate, incremental refinement over flashy reinvention. The name signals a philosophy as much as a service: nothing ships until it has been considered, reduced, and made calm.
